Intelligent
Data eXchange (IDX) is a single suite of middleware
products, which facilitates real-time data exchange. IDX bridges
the gap between monitoring and control systems with transactional
business systems. It provides facilities to enable data validation,
data transformation, and seamless integration of disparate systems.
IDX is typically used as a communications gateway providing
information exchange between one or more of the following:
- Process control system (DCS or PLC) such as Siemens,
Foxboro, Modicon.
- MMI or SCADA systems such as Wonderware, Siemens, Intellution.
- Real-time Data Historians such as OSIsoft PI, AspenTech
InfoPlus 21, and Wonderware Industrial SQL Server.
- Expert Systems such as Gensym G2 and Pavilion.
- Legacy and disparate systems (Axeda @aGlance,
Honeywell, ABB)
- Common protocol devices (OPC, MODBUS, TCP/IP,
PROFIBUS)

UNIFIG is an application that can be used to seamlessly
configure real-time, tag-based applications such as SCADA systems
(e.g. WinCC) and historians (e.g. PI, InSQL). It allows tag
configurations present in an existing system to be quickly migrated
into another system. This is especially beneficial where large,
complex configurations are present. UNIFIG greatly simplifies
the initial set up of plant information systems and the ongoing
maintenance and support of these systems.

IDX CSM IDX Control System Monitor (CSM™) is a simple,
yet powerful control system monitoring solution. It allows one
or many data networks and/or their components to be monitored
on a continuous basis to determine system health and provide
immediate alerting of fault conditions. The detailed capture
of diagnostics and performance data assists in root-cause-analysis
ensuring that problems are identified and solved with minimal
downtime. Currently
CSM has been developed primarily with
PROFIBUS networks in mind but can be easily extended. |
