Industrial Data Xchange (IDX) acted as the exclusive Southern African distributor for OSIsoft from 2002 until 2007 prior to the establishment of the local OSIsoft office.   As a result we gained extensive experience with OSIsoft supporting the local channel partners and customers in Southern Africa.

IDX is now an OSIsoft system integrator (SI) and independent software vendor (ISV) and has been involved with numerous local and international implementations across various industries including Mining & Metals, Oil & Gas and Pulp & Paper.

As an experienced OSIsoft user IDX is an excellent 3rd party to help users considering a PI solution. We offer intelligent and independent advice highlighting potential problems and solution short comings before projects run into trouble.

Auditing & Troubleshooting

IDX currently provides 1st & 2nd level support for various customers in South and Southern Africa. Working closely with OSI support we provide excellent turnarounds on all issues raised by our clients.

Commissioning & Tuning

IDX has provided solutions for Weighbridge & LIMS integration to OSIsoft PI with customised interfacing via IDX Connectivity Suite (IDXsuite) and other applications we have developed. We have extensive experience with PI, ProcessBook, DataLink, Performance Equations, Totalizers & ACE as well as RtPortal & RtWebparts.

Training

We provide both on and off site end-user OSIsoft training in the various PI clients (PI DataLink, PI ProcessBook, PI ACE) as well as System Management courses (e.g. System Manger I - Essential Skills & System Manager II - Advanced Topics)
