IDX Historian Minimize

The IDX 8 Historian adds historical data logging and access to the IDX suite. It is targeted as an entry-level to mid-range historian that compromises a reduced feature set when compared to enterprise-level historians for simplified use and a much lower cost.

The IDX Historian uses Microsoft SQL 2008 (or above) as its storage medium. However, the IDX Historian takes advantages of features in SQL 2008 to deliver good performance at its price point, which makes its suitable for suitations where cost of entry is preventing the deployment of historian solutions into a production environment.

In addition, the IDX Historian can use any edition of SQL Server 2008 or above, include SQL Express without being constrained by SQL Express' database size limits.

Real-time data logging is supported directly via IDX Data Exchange and also via the IDX Historian Client which has both .NET and COM registered APIs, along with C# and C++ code samples.

Data can also be queried from the SQL database directly using provided stored procedures, allowing for additional data analysis and reporting, without the requirement for additional OLEDB or other clients.
